Fr Hugh Quigley
The Open Episcopal Church in Ireland's first priest shares his story. Fr Hugh Quigley
For many years I searched for a home for my Spiritual development and growth. I worked at developing myself and finding authenticity within and without. Sadly some of the places I took myself to didn't accept me in my fullness. I had to abide by their rules and live the way they said I should live. That was not for me and the truth of who I am.
I discovered the Open Episcopal Church - The Small Church with The Big Heart, a home for

anyone and everyone. A place with no buildings, no rules on how I should be and no dogmas that had to be followed. A Catholic church in the true sense of the word, Universal and following the one truth, the truth of Love of All.
The Open Episcopal Church was established in Ireland in April 2015 when I was Ordained a Priest with them. Since then I have quietly practiced and developed my ministry. I have been blessed to perform the Sacred Union of Love - Marriage, I have recently been honoured to perform the sacrament of Baptism.
One of the landmarks has been the Ordination of the second priest in Ireland, Fr-Seamus Mac GhilleAindrais on Sunday 12th September. We now are two following the commission of Jesus as he sent them out in twos to prepare the way.
The Open Episcopal Church does not ask you to conform to a dogma and a belief system. It opens the altar to all who seek solace and comfort and who seek to live a life of love. It seeks to serve. Our doors are open to all who seek to serve, women, men, straight or gay.
If you would like to chat about any of this please feel free to contact myself Fr Hugh Quigley ,
Fr-Seamus Mac GhilleAindrais or Archbishop Jonathan Clive Blake. We will be more than willing to explore your questions.
